Deconditioning Guide for Manifestors
What is Deconditioning?
Deconditioning is the process of shedding societal, familial, and cultural influences that shape us into something we are not. Everyone experiences conditioning, but for Manifestors, this process is particularly crucial.
As a rare energy type (only about 9% of the population), Manifestors often grow up trying to fit into a world that operates very differently from their natural design.
This guide will focus on the key areas where Manifestors experience the most conditioning and how to break free from it.
Breaking Free from the Sacral Lifestyle
Society is built for sacral beings—Generators and Manifesting Generators make up about 70% of the population, and their energy is designed for sustainable work. Manifestors, however, do not have consistent access to sacral energy. We are not built for long hours, constant productivity, or forcing ourselves to keep up with sacral beings.
Deconditioning from the sacral lifestyle means:
Recognizing that rest is not laziness but a necessary part of your energy cycle.
Allowing yourself to work in bursts rather than trying to push through exhaustion.
Letting go of guilt around needing more downtime than others.
Society’s Reaction to Manifestor Anger
Anger is the not-self theme of Manifestors, meaning that when we are out of alignment, anger is often our first sign. However, anger is widely misunderstood. While frustration is considered a normal part of life (since 70% of people experience it), anger is often seen as problematic, aggressive, or even dangerous.
Manifestors often find themselves shamed for their anger, even though we don’t understand why everyone is so frustrated. It’s as if their reaction to life not going their way is “acceptable”, while ours is NOT.
Deconditioning from anger shame means:
Understanding that anger is a signal, not a flaw.
Allowing yourself to express anger in a way that is healthy and constructive.
Releasing the need to suppress your emotions for the comfort of others.
The Challenge of Informing vs. Initiating
Manifestors are often told that our strategy is to inform, but this doesn’t always come naturally. Many of us struggle with finding the right balance—either over-explaining or saying nothing at all. Informing is meant to ease resistance, but it can often create misunderstandings instead.
For a deeper dive into this topic, check out my previously written article on Informing vs. Initiating as Our True Strategy.
Deconditioning from the pressure to inform means:
Recognizing that informing is a tool, not our core strategy.
Using informing strategically to prevent unnecessary resistance, rather than forcing it.
Trusting that initiating is our true nature, and informing is simply a way to smooth the process.
Journal to Decondition
If you want to really take a look on how & where you’ve been conditioned, I wrote several journaling prompts that can help you with this process, as they have helped me greatly in the past few months:
What societal expectations about work and productivity have I internalized?
When do I feel guilty about resting, and why?
How do I typically respond to my own anger? Do I suppress it or express it?
What were the messages I received about anger growing up?
Am I looking into WHY I was angry? Do I use my “anger” as a check for my un-alignment?
How do I feel when I inform others of my plans or actions?
What fears come up around informing people?
Who are the people in my life that don’t respond well to my informing?
Who are the ones that do?When have I felt the most powerful and in alignment with my energy?
What happens when I try to force myself to work like a Generator?
How does my energy naturally flow, and how can I honor that?
What relationships in my life feel restrictive, and why?
How do I handle rejection or resistance from others?
Where in my life do I still seek permission when I don’t need to?
Where in my life do I feel free to initiate without informing?
How can I create more ease in my daily interactions?
What beliefs about myself am I ready to release?
